Apprenticeship overview
Apprentices will demonstrate Knowledge, skills & behaviours, delivering interpersonal excellent, by managing people and developing relationships. Project management. Delivering results, personal effectiveness by managing self. Understanding different forms of communications and their application. Chair meetings, hold challenging conversations, provide constructive feedback and understand how to raise concerns. Understand people and team management models, including team dynamics and motivation techniques, to understand HR systems and legal requirements, and performance management techniques including settling goals & objectives, conducting appraisals, reviewing performance, absence, recognising achievement & good behaviour.
Entry requirements
No formal qualifications are required for this apprenticeship, but you are expected to have enough management experience to carry out the responsibilities required. This apprenticeship is ideal for managers who are moving into a middle management position and have previous completed level 3 and level 4 management apprenticeships. Candidates will be required to undertake initial assessment in maths and english and achieve a achieve level 1 as a minimum initial assessment outcome.
Functional skills
All apprentices will need to undertake functional skills in maths & english at level 2 as a mandatory part of their apprenticeship. Candidates who have achieved GCSE’s or A levels in maths & english A-C will be exempt from having to complete their functional skills with valid proof of their exemption certificates.
Progression Opportunities
On successful completion, apprentices may choose to register as associate members of the chartered management institute and / or the Institute of leadership & management, to support their professional career development and progression.
